Excellent setting -- quiet w/ easy access to historic district
I loved being able to get away from the hussle and bussle of the busy Historic District, which was only a few minutes away via the hotels shuttle. Excellent service and knowledge base from the shuttle driver Johnny, the concierge, and the reception desk staff!!

front desk does not follow through on requests
Knowing my party had grown from 4 to 5 people, I called Expedia in advance to see if that number was within the room limits. Expedia rep said yes, we would pay extra for a roll-away. When we checked in at 3:00, we asked for a roll-away, and they said okay. We went out shopping and to dinner and when we returned, there was no roll-away. When I called the front desk, they said they had none left, and one of my friends had to sleep on the floor!

Very nice
This hotel is not situated in the historic part of Charleston, and it would be a far walk, but if you have a car, its great. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff was very helpful with a map and some suggestions for restaurants. We had a riverview and the room was spotless. We would definitely return--soon, I hope!
