Downfall of a Queen
I wouldn’t stay there again if it was free. Formerly one of the two top hotels in Hamburg, the Atlantic has been on the decline for years but has now fallen far below its former 5 star category. Torn carpeting, dreadful bed, add-on A/C and hairdryer out of the DDR, dirty elevator -- the list goes on. Always thought Kempinski were good hotels but now would be very careful before staying in another one. They should sell it to someone who could restore it to its former status, before it completely falls apart.

Nightmare
This is absolutely the worst hotel in which I have ever slept. The first room that they gave me was at the hostel level for construction workers, with a narrow bed crouching in the corner, with a tiny dark bathroom. Then my room very reluctantly exchanged for another, but terribly worn and dirty. In the bathroom, plastic curtains, dirty tiles and the Internet that did not work at all. In short horror.

Need to do much better
This is one of the landmark of Hamburg traditional hotels scene and yet it seems that they do not come to terms with the present rehab programm underway. Service level is all but satisfactory. wait and see...price range posted is not at par with service rendered!
