Good location
On the busiest day of the year (Mayday) when literally thousands of gamblers cross the borders from China and Hong Kong we were relieved to be able to book a room at a sensible price at the last minute. The location is good, easy walking distance to the historical main square with its pretty Portugese buildings and very close to two large casinos. True we were upgraded to a suite which no doubt improved our view of the hotel but the staff was very attentive and the restaurant bufet was extensive and very good value. As we hadnt arrived until 2.30 am our departure time was extended the next morning - without asking.

Spending the holidays at the Holiday Inn
Well, since we couldnt afford the gargantuan rates of Venetian Macau, Holiday Inn is not that bad at all. It was clean, accessible, they have free shuttle. All is cool with the Holiday Inn. Id like to come back there again.

Price was the only good thing
Well, the location was okay too, but with so many nicer hotels in the area, I would opt to pay more for a better experience next time. My husband and I had stayed at The Venetian and The Oriental on prior visits and wanted something a little cheaper this time. We got it. The room felt dirty, and the mattress was hard. We stayed at a hotel (different brand) in Kowloon (HK) in the same price range the next night, and the room was much cleaner and the bed much more comfortable. The free shuttle service to the ferry terminal is a nice touch, though.
