Beware rooms by elevators and facing the lobby

We had a four night stay but we had no sleep for two nights until we made them change our room. The door to the room faced the lobby, a eight story open echo chamber with the casino and bar downstairs. Every sound was echoed up and through the door to our room. They may have completed the renovations but they forgot to fix the biggest flaw in the hotel. All amenities were fantastic as was the beach. Hotel night staff does not talk with the day staff so if you have a complaint be sure to tell both the night side and day side staff or it will not be addressed.

There is a bus line that you can use when you get to the hotel, but the bus does not leave from or stop at the airport.

Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful hotel. Very modern, clean and the service was great. Food in the hotel restaurants is delicious. Just be careful with the buffetts. We got a not so great surprise the first night there at the lobster buffett in the La Vista restaurant. I went on this trip with my husband and two small children. Children under 10 pay 1/2 price at buffetts. We didn’t notice how much it was but we figured "how much can a buffett be?" Even if it was $30 per person and kids pay $15 it wasn’t so bad. The bill came out to $250 us dollars. We actually had to ask if this was in their currency or ours. So ask before you sit down. We didn’t do buffetts after that. Aside from that we had a great time. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. My son had an ear ache and the manager called the doctor for us and put us in a cab to take us there. They were great. The hotel is not near the strip of the other hotels and restaurants but it wasn’t a far walk so we didn’t mind. The beach and the pool were beautiful but make sure you reserve a hut early in the morning. They open at 7am. By 8:30 they will all be gone. I got on line one morning at 6:40am and there were 8 people ahead of me. Overall we had a fun time and recommend this hotel.

Try to go from middle of October on. Aruba doesn’t get hurracanes but they do get the effects of ones that are near them. That’s usually the month of September to the beginning of October. We just missed a rainy week. We lucked out. It had just stopped raining the morning of when we arrived. The rest of the week was beautiful.
