Hotel is very good. Our room had panoramic window and view to the park. Free broadband internet. Very comfortable bed. Just need to renovate the bathroom, but there was very clear. And good restaurant also.

Quiet, comfortable, convenient
A great hotel for its convenient location between the city centre and National Convention Centre. We stayed over the weekend and were taken aback at first by the nearly empty lobby, but appreciated the comfortable sofas to sink into while my husband checked in. Shoppers will love that its near a sprawling modern shopping mall --- a nice diversion on shut-down Sundays, especially since the mall provides plenty of coffee-sipping, people-watching places by the kerb. Those who prefer a quiet location will like that its next to a park. The hotel staff were unfailingly polite and quick to call for a cab for us. We had one large pleasant room with two double beds, which wasnt a squeeze for us and our two 16- and 17-year-old teenagers, although we had to share one bathroom. The hotel is a short walk away from Sage, in the Gordon House Arts Centre (Ainslie Ave) where we had one of the best meals of our 12-day Australian holiday (enlivened by two inquisitive possums scuttling around overhead). The hotel is also near a Sunday farmers market which is next to the Canberra Glassworks (it has a fine shop and also shows you glass artists at work). All in, our two-day Canberra visit benefitted from being in such a conveniently located hotel.

Pleasant Stay
Showing some physical wear from my last trip two years ago, but still nicely done and superb service.
Traveler's tip on dining
Hermitage Restaurant -- walk north through the shopping zone and turn left at the funky water sculpture. It is across the street on the next block. 5 minutes total
