Good Value
The Kauai Inn was not the most luxurious of hotels, but it was clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and it was a good value. It’s central location was good for traveling to all parts the island. Also, since most people would be driving into Lihue in the morning and away from it in the evening, I was able to avoid most rush hour traffic as I would generally be going in the opposite direction both times.

Great value
A very good choice as a base to explore Kauai. Close to the airport, shopping and restaurants and located half way between the East and West sides of island. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Free Wifi, a must for me, is available. The only downside is that the hotel is located in a residential area which sometimes gets a little noisy at night.

Kauai Inn convenience and kindness
The Kauai Inn was the perfect base for our island explorations. The GPS came in handy to find it since we arrived late. The torches around the property at night were a lovely welcome. The wonderful hostess walked us right to our room including helping me lift my bag up to the second floor (there are only two floors). We were delighted with the fresh fruits, coffee, juice and english muffin/bagel, breads, and oatmeal for the included breakfast. I brought my own peanut butter. We were gone most of the daylight hours exploring. The room was nothing fancy, but it was clean and it was very nice to have a small fridge and microwave. We would definitly stay there again.
