Perfect get-away!
Last minute trip, only 4 nights, but couldnt have had a better time. The Expedia person was right there at the airport with my taxi to the hotel all arranged, and a day trip Id booked to see the island was terrific. As a single woman I felt comfortable eating by myself in the bar, and was never bothered on the beach. Elegant bathroom, and view right over the beach and ocean. Cozy atmosphere.

Had a wonderful time
We enjoyed our stay at the Cove very much. The resort is beautiful and right on the beach. The people of Barbados are very friendly, as were the staff. The beach is very nice with plenty of lounge chairs for all. There is a lot of shade on the beach too. The water was nice and warm. The resort offers a lot of free water-sports which is a added bonus. My husband did some water skiing and we did some tubing. The only drawback is that the beaches are public and you will have vendors trying to sell their wares. But, we all have to make a living, right? The food on the island is rather expensive and be prepared to have slow service. Having said that the food is very good. I am sure we will go back again.
If you want to do a snorkeling cruise and dont want a large group on board consider Calabaza. We had a wonderful day on the water with one other couple. We swam with the turtles and checked out three sunken ships. The lunch was fab. We also did the Island Safari tour. We traveled around the island and got some really nice photos, had lunch at the Sunbury House.

beautiful island
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Snorkeling is great just off hotel beach. Tour boats feed the turtles just to the right of this hotel and its a great experience to swim over and observe. Just watch out for the jet skiers. Food at hotel is good as was Daphnes. Chinese takeout across the street and to left was also good. Shopping in Bridgetown was a very pleasant experience.
