Lovely Historical Hotel
We love staying at La Pavillion. It has old world charm with all the modern conveniences. The decor is so New Orleans and the service can’t be topped. The peanut butter sandwiches and hot cocoa at night just made our stay even nicer. We will always stay here when we come to New Orleans.
Mother’s is a close walk. They serve the best poboys in the world.

Le Pavillon stay a success
We played tourist at home, along with a visiting friend. I had read some online reviews that were not so flattering, so I had some concerns. I needn’t have worried, as the room was comfortable, spacious and very quiet. I am guessing that some of the folks writing bad things might not be unaccustomed to staying in an historic hotel. To me, part of the charm of this turn of the century property is the European feel it has. The location will require just a bit of walking, but if you don’t want to do that, just get over to Canal Street and the streetcars will take you--$5 all day pass.
BTW, if you can handle our intense heat and humidity, August is a wonderful time for great deals on both hotels and fine dining. We do a weekend every Aug--rates at 4-5 star hotels drop like rocks. Google "Coolinary New Orleans" for the dining deals.

New Orleans "BEST BET"
This hotel was one of the nicest Hotels I have ever stayed in. I have been to Sanfrancisco, Vegas, Seattle, Reno, LA, SanDiego and other big cities but haven’t had the costumer service like this hotel had. If you go to New Orleans you must stay here!
This town can be very dangerous and most of down town is a bad neighborhood. Remember to watch for pick pockets and do not talk to ANYONE! There are scammers and thiefs everywhere!
