Great location - Times Square right out the front door
We loved the location of the hotel and ease to catch the Tourist bus to take us around. We didn’t notice the noise until the second night. We could hear our neighbors talking and hallway noise. It could be they were just load people - don’t know. Each room has a nice big flat screen TV. However, we could not enjoy the HD channels because they kept going out. We would watch for about 5 minutes and the screen would freeze - sound continued. If we changed the channel, the screen still stayed the same. We never got to watch the local weather/news due to that problem. Maintenance was called and they pretty much blamed the weather. While it had rained that day - it was not hard enough to knock out ONLY the HD channels. TV and loud neighbors aside, the restuarant was good. Wonderful chicken pot pie at dinner with a salad and variety of breads. I would stay again on the basis of location alone.
We purchased a 72 hour all loop tour from Gray Line before our trip. It was a great way to get around the city and listen to the guides. Each one had different little known facts about the area, so even if you repeat a portion to catch the next loop you would not be bored. We walked around Central park and then caught the bus to bring us back to Times Square.

NY At Crowne Plaza Experience
Great location the hotel staff was excellent. I would suggest folks to stay here but it is pricey.

Crowne Plaza a Jewel
Stayed at the Sheraton couple of years ago. It was horrible. The Crowne Plaza was clean, reasonably priced for the area, great location and excellent service. They put the Sheraton to shame! Highly recommend. I grew up in NYC and when I come back to vivis this is where I will go next time.
