Aston Waikiki Beach Tower

Really great experience

This was a great place to stay, and we travel a lot. The view is spectacular (we were 15th floor), the "room" was a 2-bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a washer/dryer. The service was outstanding, with free valet parking, free wi-fi, thorough daily cleaning (including dishes), and very friendly staff. We used the free beach toys for the kids and the "kids play free" coupons to get free stuff on the island. I really highly recommend this hotel to stay at. The beach is just steps out the front door. The beds were firm. It’s true the furniture wasn’t super special, but it was perfectly adequate and appropriate. I was quite sad to have to leave here and go home.

try the Atlantis submarine (take your coupon for free kid’s trip), snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, the huge aquarium at the restaurant a few doors down, and of course, Waikiki beach!

The condo was absolutely beautiful, even more than I had expected. It was so convenient to everything. The ocean view was outstanding. Everyone was so helpful. Bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer (with detergent furnished by the hotel) was a nice addition. Would recommend it without reservation to anyone.

I kind of wish I had waited until Nov. or Dec., so I could have seen the humpback whales.

From the time you arrive, until the time you leave, everyone is so warm and we were treated with such care from the valet, to the reception, to the housekeepers, to the concierge. My family and I will definately recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Oahu and we will return again soon.

Shop for food and cook your own meals, that will save you both time and money.

This is just a 3 star hotel. Don’t expect too much!

We stayed there for 5 nights. The staffs were as nice and polite as those in other hotels. However, the suite we stayed in was in diamond head side. It was so noisy from the engines probably for the air conditioning of the building. There was no way to relax and enjoy the spectacular view on the balcony. We had to talk loud in order to hear each other. We could not open the sliding doors because of the noise. The suite we stayed in was spacious. That gave us plenty of room inside. However, most facilities of the rooms looked quite old except for the granite countertops. The beds were the worst part. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. From the stand point of a 3 star hotel, it has done an excellent job. Don’t expect too much.

Nice place

Great location and free parking. The beach is right across the street from the hotel. The rooms are little bit dated and you can’t compare this to a resort. For a long stay or if you are with family, this is a great place. The washer/dryer and kitchen help a lot. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Go food shopping at Costco or Safeway and save yourself some money. Also, if you can, find a Hawaii entertainment book to get all the discount coupons. You can usually find sellers on craigslist.

Fantastic View

4 adults stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. Plenty of privacy with lots of room to visit. Full kitchen was used for cooking breakfast and at least one meal per day. Breakfast and coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean and Waikiki Beach was the perfect way to start each day.

Take advantage of the kitchen to save some big bucks on meals. Each unit has a washer and dryer with soap provided so you don’t have to pack wet swimsuits.

Perfect for families!

We loved being able to cook and do laundry whenever we needed to, yet still felt like we were on vacation because our enormous suite was always promptly cleaned and supplied. Turndown service was always a treat, and the staff was amazing! They were knowledgeable and friendly... and that was a constant!

EXCELLENT STAY, EXCELLENT STAFF!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The hotel was better than we could’ve imagined! Worth every cent! It’s located directly across the street from Waikiki beach. In the midst of upscale shopping as well as local market areas and several restaurants. It’s also close distance to Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay. We stayed in an Ocean front room and, WOW! the view was absolutely amazing! The staff were extremely curtious, always saying ALOHA and smiling each time we came and went. We requested extra padding on our mattress and had it within 5 minutes. They were on top of everything and always willing to answer any questions we had. We loved everything about the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower.. we will most definitely be staying there again should we venture back to Waikiki!!!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

1. Don’t pack too many clothes! Save room for Souveniers!!!2.Go to Wal-Mart for some great souveniers that are the exact same as you’ll find in the local shops, but cost less.3.SAVE BY PAYING FOR EXCURSIONS AT GATE! Diamond Head costs $1/person to hike if you drive in yourself!! Hanauma Bay is $7.50/person at the gate, and at Pearl Harbor you can tour the USS Arizona and watch the video FREE of charge!5.GERMAINE’S LUAU!!! It’s cheaper than the Polynesian center and SO MUCH fun!!

Mixed review

On the positive side, the room was enormous, the views were exceptional. Our room was quiet. The kitchen was adequately supplied. One the negative side, we would have liked someone to show us the hotel amenities on arrival. Our exterior windows were the dirtiest glass I have ever seen, nearly opaque.

Spacious hotel room for a big group!

There were 6 of us in a very spacious 2 bedroom. Loved sitting on the huge balcony and watching the waves. The location was great. We did a lot of walking and enjoyed many of the local restaurants. The only problem we had was with the A/C. It got very cold at night and we couldn’t get it to a comfortable temperature. We just used extra blankets. Overall, a very nice stay. The staff was friendly and the concierge was very helpful. Definitely would go back!

Our trip started out by missing our connecting flight in Atlanta, I called the Beach Tower and relayed the info that we would not arive until the next day. The front dest assured us that our condo would be waiting for us. When we finally arrived, we were upgraded to an ocean view suite. The rooms were fabulous and every one new our names as the group that missed the flight. We absolutly enjoyed our stay at the Beach Towers, and when we return to Oahu we will stay here again. Everyone on staff from the front desk to the bellman, especially Gregg, made our stay so very great.

We had two (2) youngsters ages 3 and 10, so we went grocery shopping and had most of our meals in room. The zoo and aquariuum were great to visit for the kids. The beach right across the street is a plus.

Better Than Home

From the moment we checked in everyone in the hotel was so friendly. The staff engaged with my children making them feel special. The rooms were perfect:spacious and clean. We stayed in a two bedroom condo and we felt that it was almost better than home. The condo was equipped with everything you would need; we lacked for nothing. Every morning I watched the staff clean the pool. And the location was also perfect; right on the beach and centrally located. We had a partial view of the beach. I would love to go back and stay in the very same room.

2 BR Suite Affordable and Excellent for Families

This was an excellent hotel with great water views of Waikiki from the roomy balcony, and a very attentive staff. This hotel exceeded our expectations which is not easy to do. The rate includes valet parking which is a nice bonus in Waikiki. Our 2BR Suite was well appointed and provided plenty of room for our family of 5. Nice location, right across from the beach.

The hotel is hidden from the main street and difficult to find. One of the staff said they like it that way. The name "Aston" did not appear anywhere outside the hotel. The sign merely said "Waikiki Beach Hotel", and this sign was located on the side street.

Outstanding service, location, view......

Everyone from concierge to valet and room attendants went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. There were always plenty of towels, even for our group of five. The room attendant always checked with us in the evening if we were available, to see if turn-down service or extra towels was needed (we always said no, but accepted the chocolates or crackers she offered). The valet always asked if beach towels were needed. they kept a supply ready at the lobby entrance. No bad views anywhere in hotel. We Will return

Best experience of my life!!!

Not only are the apartments beautiful with not one bad view.....the staff was the most gracious and helpful I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend!!!! I know I will return.

Utilize the great concierge staff!!! This is the most user friendly hotel I have ever encountered. Every staff member is there to assure you are happy. I will return.

Great location! Staff was top-rate and extremely friendly. The condo was very nice and the view was spectacular (ocean front). Pool/hot tub, billards convenient. The washer and dryer are a bonus with 3 teenagers. and they furnish the detergent. Turn down service was very nice, our kids loved the goodies left in the evening. Valet parking was expectional and free. All recommendations for dining were fantastic. Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is a must.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Book the snorkeling at Ko Olina, dolphins, beautiful fish and sea turtles, meal on board was great. Paradise Cove Luau show was good but food was so-so. Rent a car and drive to the North Shore, Haleiwa and Matsumoto Shave Ice and the shrimp/thai trucks and make the stop at Dole Pineapple. Pearl Harbor, USS Missouri and Bowfin are a must. Try surfing it is a blast.

Great service, location

We had a 2 bedroom ocean front suite on the 17th floor. The room was updated and roomy with beautiful views. Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids 16, 13, 5)had plenty of room to relax and spread out. The sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked our location, right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to tons of restaurants and shopping. We rented a car which was free to valet park at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. We loved Oahu, and enjoyed having the beach and scenery with city backdrop and plenty to do right outside our door during downtime from sight seeing. Other islands are a short trip away, and we enjoyed them. We would make Oahu our home base (and this our hotel) if we get the opporunity to return.

Awesome

This place is wonderful. Stayed for a week with wife and 10 month old baby. It was perfect for us because of the kitchen and separate rooms. Terrific views and wonderful staff. There’s no lobby or shops, but that doesn’t matter because you’re in the heart of Waikiki and within walking distance to everything. Can’t beat the location. Free parking too!

A great store with a great deli, Coco Cove. It’s walking distance, serves both hot and cold specialties to go, huge portions and affordable. I had salmon with brown rice and my husband had meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The single meal fed us on two nights.

Extremely enjoyed our stay!!!!

Everything was perfect. We had everything we needed in the room. It was home away from home. I loved it. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean. If we go back we will definitely stay here again.

All you need is walking distance. You really won’t need a car. Food, shopping, entertainment, and activities around the corner from hotel. It was perfect.

Great View, Location and Suites

This is a great place for larger families and best value right now. We had a suite with fabulous ocean view. The hotel is right across the street from Waikiki beach on the Diamond Head side of the strip. This end has a man made breaker for those that can’t tolerate the waves. There’s also plenty of room to shower off the sand after a day at the beach. We also had free parking and internet so we didn’t get hit with fees here and there. A 2 bdrm suite w kitchen had everything we need and lots of space. The balcony was much larger spanning from living room to bedroom. AM and PM maid service. All staff and valet were exceptional. Valet had lots of island touring tips. I highly recommend this facility.

Ala Moana Shopping Cntr has a great food court. Something for everyone. If you’re really daring try going to mostly locals, 8 fat fat 8 restaurant, looks like a dive but it is the best & I mean the best chinese influenced food on the island. Karoake, darts and billiards too.

Oh My goodness

I had a very great experience. The staff was wonderful. The location was the best. The pool could have been bigger, but the beach is across the street so i really wasn’t that big of a deal.

Great experience

Room was roomy and had everything we needed--great to have W/D in the room. Great view of the beach, and easy walks to lots of things: zoo, international market, lots of great restaurants. Bell staff was awesome--learned our names and very helpful, always cheerful.
