Great Hotel!

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel was wonderful! The service was excellent, friendly staff, very clean and a great location. Close to the beach, nearby shopping, zoo, aquarium and many great restaurants. Will certainly go back!

Hotel was really great. It is a little bit noisy from the street side and when you open your balcony. But overall serive was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

outskirts of central waikiki

overall a good experience. 1st nite, I found a blood stained fitted sheet to my horror. I called and they were apologetic and changed everything immediately. hotel located more on the ’outskirt’ of central waikiki, the streets were a little quiet and there were a handful of questionable characters hanging around during the evening. it is 1 block away to the beach and stores. overall a nice modern clean hotel (except for the sheet incident). I would recommend staying there.

Be aware when you rent cars!!! they have roaches in them, they typically start coming out during sunset hours, you kill 1 and 3 more show up. I wonder if there are any roach free cars in hawaii! it’s stressfull to go out in the evenings in your car, you never know where those pests may crawl into!

nice place to stay

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and overall found it to be an enjoyable experience. The hotel is only a few blocks from the beach. The staff were very helpful even after I had checked out. After I turned in my key, they gave me a free courtesy room for later in the day so that I could go to the beach and come back to a shower. I would go there again.

Great hotel, just not on the beach!!

We loved our Vacation here. ABC you;ll see plenty of these" All blocks covered" literally. These are the stores to buy what you need. Hotel is really nice but the view of the beach is blocked by newer hotels. The one picture they show is conveniently taken. The view of diamond head is nice. Hotel was very clean. The lowest level floor you’ll want to stay is 22. So you can actually see the beach. Room was smaller than expected but only stayed in it to sleep. We loved Waikiki. If you want the action stay closer to Hilton village. go to Paradise Cove Lau.

Look for your big ticket item trips ahead of time and look for deals on here : laus, other islands, dinner cruises.

Quality Time!

Hotel location is one block from the beach at Waikiki, and convenient to all the amenities Waikik offers. Hotel was attractive and well-kept, with very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable, with an excellent view of the ocean and a peak of Diamond Head between other hotels. Hotel was part of a package, and offered a great value. Parking was valet, and was convenient for me. My trip was business, and the location made my trips to and from Pearl fairly painless. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good hotel. Not too impressed.

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Beautiful views and only a block away from the beach. However, no breakfast is included in the overly priced hotel. Housekeeping could do a better job. My room was never dusted, vacuum or mopped, except for changing sheets and towels and taking out the trash. One day I came back late at night and my entire bathroom floor was flooded. There was a leak on the ceiling.

If interested in learning about the Hawaiian culture must visit the Polynesian Cultural Center. Also try the Heartbeat of Hawaii. Is a very nice show. A bit pricey though.

A Great Experience in Hawaii

Reasonable rates for Waikiki, close to everything and a great venue all around. MAC 24/7 was a great place to eat and I enjoyed the Mac Daddy pancakes, although it would’ve taken 8 of us to eat all of them! Pool deck was spectacular and so was our view of the ocean. I highly recommend this hotel for the location but also for the fantastic service. I can’t wait to go again.

Plan to pay $$$ for your meals and drinks. Everything else seems on a par to any big city. Prepare to hang loose and enjoy Island Style!

WHAT A VACATION!

THIS HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! WE LIKED THE IDEA THAT IT IS OFF THE BEATEN PATH. BUT YET NOT SO FAR YOU COULDNT WALK TO MANY OF THE SITES. THE HOTEL IS A 10 FOR US. THE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND WE FELT VERY WELCOMED.

MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE ARIZONA MEMORIAL AND THE POLYNESIAN CULTURE CENTER. BOTH WERE AMAZING!

Recommended--- would do it again.

We had an excellent time in Hawaii! The Prince Kuhio was a nice hotel with excellent service. The staff members were all helpful and kind. The linens on the bed were fabulous and the room was spacious. Right down the street from the beach and lots of shopping, the location was great. We really appreciated the hospitality suite and the bell hop storing our bags. We had a red eye flight, so we were able to take a tour that day and clean up before heading to the airport. We felt safe in the hotel. I was there for a conference and the facilities were nice. The only downsides to the entire experience were the pool and the expensive internet in the room. The pool is not anything to brag about and the photos online do not exactly convey the actual pool. We really didn’t care, though, since we were there for the beach!!

Get to Kailua beach!! It is worth the trip and the beaches there are the powdery white sand on TV!

Great hotel!

The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is in a good location. It’s not right on Waikiki, so it’s quiet, but the walk to the beach is only about 3 minutes! I would definitely stay here again.

There was a small local supermarket about a 5 minute walk from the hotel (along Kuhio and away from the beach). The cafe there had good tasting affordable coffee. There is also a pastry puff shop in the market that was good. I went here instead of starbucks each morning. There’s a subway and other affordable food shops too. The market has better prices on things like sunscreen than the ABC stores that are all over.

A Wonderful Stay

Definitely recommend the Hilton Prince Kuhio. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms very clean and the two minor problems we had (no towels, refridgerator not turned on) were taken care of in literally minutes when we asked. The hotel had a business room where we could look up directions on the internet. The lobby had a wonderful smell I will never forget. Wonderful friendly, helpful staff, I even became ill during our stay and the staff shuttled me to an urgent care. Just be aware, the neighborhood if you go down one way is not the best, and yet we always felt safe, go down the other way, and it is a whole different world just one block over, with the beautiful beach and upscale shops. I would definitely choose this hotel again, good price and very happy memories!

You CAN eat cheap in Oahu. We ate WELL on less than $25 a day! Grab a quick breakfast, we went to famous Leonard’s and bought Masaladas ($4 for half dozen). There are also places you can buy a $3.25 breakfast. You MUST go to one of the shrimp trucks on the side of the road! I had the BEST MEAL I’VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE at Macky’s on the side of 83 by 99. Shrimp, rice, salad and pineapple. I can still taste it (get the butter garlic). Kind of hard to find, but was well worth the two hours we spent trying to find it a second time. There is always McDonald’s if you want to save money here and there, although it is higher there. You can buy cheap souvenirs at the international marketplace, a few blocks from this hotel, we walked there three of four times. We looked many other places, and prices were a little lower there. If you rent a car, just get a little compact, we drove all day every day and only filled the tank once. Have fun!

Will be A Return Customer

Great stay. Friendly greeting upon arrival. Lovely room that was well kept each day. Will definitely return to the Prince Kuhio.

Windward Side: Hanauama Bay, Lanikai Beach is lovely and unspoilt. Morning Brew coffee shop and Cinnamons restaurant in Kailua are well worth a visit. North Shore: Ted’s Bakery, Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck and pick a neighborhood beach not a park to find a quiet spot to watch the local surfers battling the waves. Also worth seeing is the beautifully peaceful Byodo-In temple. Go early and have the place to your yourself for quiet reflection Mai Tai’s at The Royal Hawaiian complimented by Pork Nachos at the Mai Tai Bar. Music and Pina Coladas at the House Without A Key

Not a 4 star

The hotel didn’t bother to air condition the guest floors, nor the elevators. It was unpleasantly hot and humid, making an uncomfortable walk to and from the room (we air condition everything in Alabama). The faucet in the bathroom needed to be repaired immediately, which was done with dispatch, but should have been in working condition.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Another traveler mentioned parking next door at the Banyon ($10/24 hours self-park with in/out vs $25 valet at Hilton) and that was easy to do.

Great place for a Honeymoon!!!

We stayed at the Prince Kuhio, and we could not be more impressed with the conditions of the hotel. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Everything looked new!!! We chose this hotel for our honeymoon, and we would stay there again!!!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Do not rent a car. The roads are very confusing and we would have gotten lost. Everything is in walking distance. If you need to travel, you could rent a car for the day and it would be much cheaper. Also, you can get a shuttle to take you practically anywhere and come back to get you. Some even come right to your hotel!! We were going to rent a car , but were advised against it. It turned out to be a great trip!! We saw everything we wanted to see!!

Great Value Great Service

This place is newly remodeled, the room had a great view and was always clean!!! The valet parking is mandatory and $25 per night, but my wife left an exspensive camcorder in the car and we thought the worst, all memories gone, but to our suprise the camcorder was in the car when valet brought the car to us! Its nice to know theres people you can trust!!! Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a very nice one!!! 5 stars all the way!!!

Make the most of every day and plan your activities ahead!! You’ll have to come home sooner than you realize and you dont want to waste time wondering what to do next!!!

A Slice Of Paradise

We went for vacation and to check out the school I might be attending. The staff was very kind. Knowing it was our first time in Hawai’i, they suggested local spots to check out. Every location they suggested were nothing short of amazing. The valet service was very convenient. The location was perfect as it’s a walk away from the shopping district and many delicious restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for a better location.

Traveler's tip on dining

Check out Gyu-Kaku when you go. It’s a Japanese restaurant where you cook your own meat. It’s already prepared. The food is delicious, and there’s something about cooking your own meal with friends that makes for a truly memorable experience.

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio

Outstanding hotel, everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff we’re particularly impressive, bending over backwards to help you with absolutely anything. Only negative I can think of, room service was a little expensive, but thats to be expected anywhere. Perfect location, close enough to the strip and beach yet far enough away from the hussle and bussle. A 4* rated hotel operating at a 5* level. Perfect for couples or families....pets included aswell.

Traveler's tip on dining

Avoid the 4lb pancake challenge in the MAC24-7 restaurant unless you seriously believe that you are up to the challenge. It’s humungous !. I saw at least a dozen people try and fail....I was one of them !.
