Beautiful vista!
We enjoyed the Royal Kona very much. The help was all very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed happy hour twice and it was yummy. The location of the Royal Kona was great because we were able to walk to other sites, beaches, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. We used our rental car to and from the airport and for a day trip to the volcanos. The private lagoon was nice because you just can’t swim anywhere due to the hard lava rock coast. .
Wait to buy your tickets for the luau at check in because they gave us a buy one get one 1/2 off coupon. We would stay at this hotel again. Also all the guide books have coupons in them too.

Beautiful sunset views, but hard on the back.
On the plus side, this hotel had a great location with knowledgeable and friendly staff. On the minus side, the bed was saggy and the spa was a couple of the hotel rooms with massage tables set up in them. Overall it was an average stay with a great view of the sunsets.

Big Island is Small
Old, very small television, frig worked horribly, but I had a great stay here. The staff was friendly and the maids came by everyday. This hotel is in the heart of shopping areas including the farmer’s market. The hotel sits right on the ocean and is home to a vry good Luau. There is a small sandy beach just south of the hotel, magic sands beach. It is in walking distance. You want to rent a car if you want to venture to better beaches.
