Great location and personnel!
Now living on the west coast, I’ve made 2 trips with my gf to hawaii within the past year. This hotel was the best deal for the most number of stars among all of Hawaii at the time. I’m very happy we stayed here. The lobby and pool and ocean view are all gorgeous. The staff visibly works very hard and are incredibly nice. Parking is wide open, there is a laundry room and easy access to beach towels as needed. My only mild complaints are that there is a A/C unit that is awfully loud. When it turns on, it woke us up frequently the first night. After we got used to it, it wasnt so bad. The beds were modestly comfortable as well, I think I have spoiled myself with a great mattress at my home. There is also a $12/day hotel fee that is paid for separately. The location was terrific though, staying in Kapaa allows for easy access to both the north and south shores. Would definitely consider staying there again.
Best seafood ever! Even from someone who lives in San Diego, CA. The fish market by the lighthouse has AMAZING Ahi tuna (rare) wraps. Fish and chips at Brennecke’s overlooking the beach was terrific. Seafood chowder at Hanalei Dolphin restaurant cannot be matched outside Boston. We danced dangerously with mercury poisoning.

Great Kauai bargain
This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here. The view room has been terrific for the price compared to the other hotels we researched. Since the place has been sold a couple of times,it is a little down at the heels, but the stay couldn’t have been nicer. The price was a real bargain, and the location is really handy to the rest of the island
Beach House in Poipu and Portafino in Kalapaki are like movie sets during daylight hours. Terrific food - not much atmosphere either Kauai Pasta House.

Very Impressive
The staff at the hotel were topnotch! The room was like our room at home because it had a high ceiling. Also, it was well-stocked. The location was perfect! We frequented the lounge and the restaurant where the service was outstanding and the food and beverages were excellent! We highly recommend this hotel!
