Great hotel in prime location!
Although the hotel was undergoing renovation during our stay, aside from the visible upgrades process, there were no disruptions at all. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and courteous. We were even allowed to check in around 9am after disembarking from the cruise ship. We were able to walk to our hotel from the busy downtown/bay area (maybe 20 minute walk--hard to say, we shopped/stopped along the way!) The beds were really comfy and the hotel was plush and upscale. The best hotel of our whole honeymoon!
Traveler's tip on dining
Won More Chinese Restaurant (on Denman Street on the upper level by the Bay) was spicy and tasty! Also, the Big Red Bus, while touristy, was a good way to travel around the city (and it stops right by Won More!)

Decent service, clean room
We stayed at the Georgian for one night before our cruise the next morning. Pros: free Internet in the computer room (mezzanine level), comfy beds, Aveda bathroom products, clean rooms. The front desk held our bags for us even after we had checked out, albeit it was only for a couple of hours while we went on a bus tour around the city. They didnt have to, so that was nice of them. Cons: Slow service. When we came to check in, there was a line and only one person working the reception desk. He was young, and took a very long time checking people in. After youve been traveling all day, all you want is to get into your room so you can relax. We were in line for about 20 minutes. He also did not seem to know what he was doing. Usually you can rely on front desk receptionists for help with anything, but he did not even give me a map of the city until I asked, and then I had to ask him to show me where we were on the map. I mean, how would I know? I just got there. He gave us two room key cards, one of which did not work, so back to the long line for us. The other concierges the next day were faster and more knowledgeable. Maybe the guy we got was just covering for someone? Who knows.

Great location
Perfect spot to for a short walk to great restaurants or a water taxi to Granville Island. Wonderful service. Stay was dampened by a Bachelor party that returned to their rooms at 3am.
