Stayed two nights during "soft opening" November 7, 2009
The Marina Resort is a brand new, beautiful waterfront hotel with great views of the yacht marina and river estuary at Tarpon Point. We stayed in a large one bedroom condominium style unit which was very clean and nicely appointed (think HGVC or Marriott VC). A large screened balcony provided great views of the riverway and waterfowl. While the staff were always friendly and gracious, this is a new hotel and there are kinks still being worked out. We did speak with the manager and offered a few suggestions for improvement based on our travel experiences. There was work still in progress on the parking garage but no noticable noise. The hotel restaurant was not yet open for breakfast service, so a complimentary continental breakfast was provided by the hotel (nice touch). I would highly recommend this resort.
