Fantastic Hotel with Great Service
We’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in many great hotels but this was one of the best! Fabulous staff with attention to detail. Super location.

Palatial Plaza
Our 4 night stay at the Plaza was a delightful mix of sensory pleasures. The food in the Oak Room delicious and the staff, patient and indulgent (it was a late night). The housekeeping staff extremely helpful when a lost in the bedsheets, "Cheetah" and friend caused a slight panic. And the room itself simply gorgeous. Golden and brand new, nothing about our stay in this beautifully restored famous hotel could disappoint. Expect to spend some money and deal with some crowds but definitely worth it!

One of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Friendliness of staff, exceptional service, gorgeous room, etc. is why the Plaza remains one of the best hotels in New York. I will be back! Thank you.

Very relaxing and comfortable.
The Hotel is as you would imagine from days past, with all updated comforts. The Plaza is elegant and romantic with service that was personable. I would go back to the Plaza any time, and be sure to use the services of the conciegeres their suggestions were awsome!

Best Service Ever!
We stayed at The Plaza for our anniversary and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. Our room was equipped with a console that allowed us to control most features in the room (e.g. lights, t.v., temperature, etc.) from the comfort of our bed. Our room was refreshed everytime we left so that we always got to come back to a clean room.

Eating at the hotel is way overpriced, so I would recommend eating out for every meal.

New York grew around it and yet it stands so grand
when this hotel first opened it was on of the only buildings of this size in the area. Today, even though there are building much taller around it, it holds its own. The Location, the service, the image, the amenities, the butlers, the beds, the rooms and the building itself create a haven on 59th and 5th. I travelled in Jul ’09. If you are staying here and would like to take advantage of all the amenities wait a few months. If not, go ahead its an amazing experience.

The concierge is one of the most powerful in NY. They execute all your wishes with effortless excellence every time. Research what you would like to do and then talk to them. The better the question or request the better the response from the concierge. Tell them you want to go where a local would go and the list changes completely.

Classic, beautiful New York Hotel. Splendid location.
While hotel in general & room in particular exceeded expectations, and the staff was helpful & couteous, there were a few minor issues. Information about the breakfast being offered to us in the lobby was misleading. Certain questions to the concierge were not answered properly and a complaint about rude behavior on the part of both the bartender & seemingly inebriated guests in the upstairs lounge was ignored. The Oak Room would not permit a reservation in their dining room after the hotel staff said there would be no problem. One message from a family member was not given to us.

2 Irish coffee’s in lobby bar?......$52.00 !!! 3 massages....50 minutes? $600.00 The Hotel is beautiful....but they better figure out the pricing!

No customer service whatsoever
I booked a suite for the Memorial week end for my family and I (4 people). The description of the room showing one King bed only made me call the hotel prior to booking the suite. They said they will put 2 kids beds for us into the suite. I therefore booked the suite and what a big surprize I had when at the front desk, they told me I had to pay an extra $75 per kid bed and per night ($150 per night total). I’m not used to negociate at the Hotel desk so I let it go. The cleanliness of the room was very bad. You could see a layer of dust beneath the cabinet and fridge. Bottom line: I’ll never go back to this hotel.

A Bit Disappointing. . . .
This was our first stay at The Plaza since its refurbishment. While the service was excellent, the new decor was a bit over-the-top and gauche. The hotel robes were vulgar and uncomfortable, and someone should tell the designer that there is such a thing as too much gilt.

A Most Beautiful Experience!
This was the most gorgeous, most elegant, most phenomenal hotel ever! I could have stayed there and never seen another sight! I never go without my shoes at hotels, but I did here! I never lie on top of a bedspread, but I did here! I never feel at ease on hotel furniture, but I did here! It was immaculate and perfect - absolutely perfect! I can’t wait to go back!!

Great location and fabulous new rooms
You are close to everything at the Plaza: Central Park, shopping at all the high end boutiques and Bergdorf, restaurants etc... Came here with my 8 year old daughter and easily went to shows.

Most Excellent
Nice rooms with all the amenities. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The Plaza hotel is in a prime location for theater, dining, tours and walks in the park. Highly recommend.

Great Staff
I was only in New York for one day but I was very impressed with this hotel. I make several short visits a month to the City. The Hotel I normally stay at was booked but I was very pleased with The Plaza. I found a new favorite hotel!

Magic Stay
We went to the Plaza because my daughter loves ELOISE. We did not say anything in advance...but they went out of their way to please her!!! She thought her stay at the Plaza was magical and she had every reason to do so. The hotel and the service were impecable and the staff made us feel so special! We absolutely loveeedd The Plaza!

Best Location in NYC
The newly renovated Plaza is, simply, fabulous. The service was perfect, the staff was friendly, helpful and warm, and the room was tasteful and luxurious. The Concierge found impossible reservations and made my children feel like royalty. We have been to many fine hotels in many places and never had better service anywhere. Only (minor) criticisms are: 1) hot water takes FOREVER; and 2) wireless internet was spotty (but immediately taken care of). I can’t wait to return.

Go in July and August when everyone else is in the Hamptons and enjoy the sales, the theater and the dining while no one else is in town.

Top notch
Great great place:Historically and Poshly. We were driven to our local restaurant on a couple of occasions in their few K grand Bentley. (Just tip well) Once in a while, you just have to take the family and go all out. This is the place to do it. I can’t think of a better location: Across from Central park, A few blocks from the subway. Several blocks from times square and the Rockerfellar center. All roads lead to the Plaza--Have fun....well worth the $.

Walk to most places. Take the subway everywhere else. There’s no where you can’t get to....and the subways a hoot!
