happy to be in Portland’s Benson
ALL was great, except Benson did cut back on the apples they used to have available for their guests all the time and the daily wine and cheese was gone too. I wouldn’t be disappointed had they not left the note in the envelope when they gave us the key to the room indicating these goodies are still available. We went down one day for apples and was told that they had to scale back because of the economy and the next day we found out the wine and cheese was not available for the same reason.

You’ll Never Want To Leave
The moment I walked into this hotel I knew it was going to be a wonderful place and when I saw my room, I knew I wouldn’t want to leave. This is truly the most wonderful hotel to stay in as it oozes the Portland charm of the Pacific NW with such gorgeous surroundings. The cherrywood, the lighting and decor. The El Gaucho Bar/Restaurant downstairs and that London Grille Sunday Brunch is not to be missed. Do not forget to ask for a Benson robe that is like no other, made out of bamboo and the softest robe you’ll ever wear. People were fabulous. If planning a trip to Portland this is the place to stay.
Go in the Fall. It’s beautiful in Portland. The weather was perfect.
