Downtown Portland Comfort
Corner room on the top floor was huge, comfortable and a view of Mt. Hood. Close to Old Town and Down Town. Lobby a bit "old school" with lots of dark wood, sort of "Ritz-Carlton-ish", but except for one surly bartender the staff was accommodating and polite. Bellman on the last day said that a floor-by-floor remodeling was underway. The baths needed it, but everything else in the room was most comfortable, including a Temperpedic mattress. Would return. Great price with an on-line deal too.

Lovely Hotel and Great Location!
The hotel and room were beautiful, and the location was great - just a few short blocks to Powell’s Books... what could be better?! Just one really minor thing - don’t trust the soda vending machines located in the stairwell of each floor... you may lose some cash.

Benson Bliss
Oh I thought I was writing the review above, the trip was great the old hotel prsitine. A beautiful, majestic hotel with music at night, close to the Pearl District and another area I like to shop, there are a lot of down town stores, it is near the Powell bookstore which takes up an entire block I waked further to the 21st and 23st neighborhood whicjh is very quaint. It is a good little walk from the hotel but its worth it and the parks and homes along the way are really beautiful. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland, use the valet however because the parking lot across the street seems cheaper but it is deceitful in where its little money box is which we missed and eneded p with a ticket. o and enjoy your stay it is worth it!
