We enjoyed the hotel stay!
I met my 2 sisters in San Antonio and I had made the reservation for a 2 bedroom suite here. It was big, clean, comfortable and the service was great. We had one bedroom with 2 queen beds and bath and one bedroom with a king and a bath plus we had a living room and kitchen area. We enjoyed the free breakfasts and the free evening meals with wine, beer and Margaritas! These were enjoyed watching the people ride on the river right below us. We asked several times for recommendations for evening dining and the restaurants were all moderately priced and the food was excellent. There was some remodeling going on in the lobby but it did not interfer with our enjoyment during our stay. The cab back to the airport was waiting when we requested it from the front desk. Overall, a great home base for our enjoyment of this great city. We would stay there again - wonderful.
We went at a convenient time for the 3 of us (late October) and the weather was great - sunny and warm in the day - cooler at night. We stayed on the Riverwalk as we did not want to have a car. We saw the Alamo, took a tour to some missions, and walked around the river to shop and eat. Since we were there to visit and talk, it was great to sit at riverside restaurants or on benches when we were tired and just have time to visit! Great time.

Great area - hotel was great- but no restaurant on site
We enjoyed our stay and was very pleased with the hot breakfast. It would be nice to have full time restaurant on site - but with so many restaurants close by it is not a big deal. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. However I left something behind in the hotel and have not been able to locate it. Housekeeping does not return my calls and front desk has no knowledge. I am very disappointed in their response

Wonderful experience
Great location, staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean and pretty. Would definately stay at Homewood Suites in other cities. The breakfast buffet was fine, not much variety day to day and the Managers reception on Thursday was very nice but do not understabd why this is not done everyday since we paid the same price for each day.
