New Years Eve Visit
I stayed at the Cambridge Suites for a night and was generally pleased with the place. The food in the restaurant is incredible and the hotel service in general is pleasant. The room contained some color, which I found refreshing. The room itself was very clean, almost without fault. My only issue was with the blinds, which dont block light well enough for sleeping in the daytime. As far as dollar values go, its certainly a good deal. You dont get as many square feet for your money as you do at the almost-alarmingly-good Best Western in Dartmouth, but its still money well spent. The hotel is within walking distance of a bunch of interesting places to eat and drink, which was the primary reason why I stayed there for NYE. Winter travelers should note that the Cambridge Suites has a heated parking garage--very nice when youre visiting Halifax in the winter! Also, however, please note that parking isnt free, and that the spaces in the garage are small, to say the least. Drive an SUV? Dont even try to fit into a single space. My rental Corolla was struck while parked in those small confines. Overall, Id call the place an attractive value--just dont park in the garage on New Years Eve!

A very good place to stay ...
I liked the location, the looks and the comfort. The breakfast is humble and there is no room service if you arrived at night. You gotta go to the near by bars to eat!
