Roaches included in room price
I had stayed at the Britannia before and talked it up to my friend before we went to Costa Rica. The hotel is charming, an old hacienda with high-ceilinged rooms, gorgeous vintage tile floors in lobby, a darling cellar restaurant. However, there were cockroaches in the room and bath. Yuck!! Not the Britannia I knew and loved.

Good place, not a great location
Hotel is good, room was great and big (5 person family in a room). The hotel is in a neighborhood that gets a little seedy late at night but is fenced/guarded so it’s not a big deal. Staff is very nice.
