Maui Coast Hotel exceeded expectations!
We (unfortunately) had only 1 night in this great hotel but I can say we went back for the Expedia on-site services and the wonderful "Spices" restaurant. Overall, this hotel is absolutely wonderful.
Optimal time for Hawaii travel is during whale season (late November to April) - the whales were just arriving as we left. If you can’t see the whales, you must take a flight to Pearl Harbor (new Pacific Aviator Museum is fantastic); Haleakola Crater is beautiful; beaches galore; Luau is a must; and snorkeling or the submarine ride (Atlantis). We also enjoyed a helicopter ride - pricey but if you can afford it - what a beautiful view and our pilot was awesome.
