Definitely would go again!

We stayed in this hotel following a week-long Hawaiian cruise to the various islands. The hotel was luxurious with friendly service. Our Expedia discount room was on the 24th floor with a view of the harbor and ocean. Th window actually opened up, and we had magnificent sunset vistas every night. Wonderful!

We spent a day at Waikiki Beach. Sure there were people around, but the people-watching is part of the fun! We swam in the little area protected by a man-made break, so there were families with children around. I was able to snorkel near the break and saw angelfish. Inexpensive food and shopping were right across the street. Gorgeous views and flowers! Fun day!

Great air & room package

If you keep offering this package, or similar, I will stay there on my next visit to HNL.

Avoid the busy tourist season if possible. Better deals & less crowded in APr-Jun & Sep-Nov.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Wakiki

Just far enough north of the main strip to give some privacy while the hotel provides shuttle transportation to and from the main areas of Waikiki, while still a short walk to one of the main shopping malls. The staff were always courteous and extremely helpful, and the hotel itself was the best I’ve ever stayed in for the price. The view from the room was spectacular.

Great location

Really close to area restaurants, Ala Moana beach and shopping center. Only problem we had was the condition of the T.V., not really up to date and didn’t get good reception.

Hotel was the best part.

The Hawaii Prince staff was excellent. Especially the Valets. Garrett, Jaime, and Adonis went above and beyond. We had several frustrating things come up on our trip but the hotel and staff helped with anything that arose. From surf spot recommendations to places to get great deals on souvenirs they were excellent. This was our Fifth trip to Hawaii and this staff was the best ever.

Recommended Waikiki hotel

Very well maintained hotel with beautiful lobby area. Bathrobe and slippers were pluses but the room furniture needed refinishing. All rooms are ocean view and best to get a room on a high floor.

Best to go during the off season (Feb-Apr, Sep-Nov) for better rates (air/hotel) and availability.

This hotel is one of Hawaii’s best kept secret!

This hotel was everything you see in the pictures. Upon arrival the valet greeted us and was very helpful. When checking in we received a warm towlette and given our room which had a beautiful view of the harbor. We were only 15 minutes from Wakiki beach and other local attractions. The room was clean and comfortable with windows that gave us a full view of the harbor and sunsets.

Very nice hotel and location.

Very Nice - would stay here again.

I recently spent a week with my family at the Hawaii Prince. We had 3 rooms. The staff was great. The resturants were very good. Close access to everything. The free shuttle to shopping was wonderful. Always helpful answering questions or getting directions.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Don’t miss the pineapple plantation - the ice cream was to die for! Still missing it. Also enjoyed the North Shore Shark encounter - something I didn’t think I would ever do.

Great Waikiki Hotel-no disappointment

We stay here several time per year and have found it to be very reasonable in price, clean, comfortable and parking is very easy to access. The empolyees are very hospitable and willing to help all situations. I would recommend it to anyone that travels to Honolulu. We will stay here any time we get a chance to come here. (We live on Molokai and travel to Honolulu every month or so.) Enjoy

Traveler's tip on local attractions

You are close to all major Waikiki attrations, eateries and shopping. Easy access to downtown Honolulu and surrounding area.

Quality I can expect

I always try and stay at Hawaii Prince - they treat me like a "special" person and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Its very relaxing and convenient for finding food places. The beach is right there but not on it and the view of the surf makes it all the better.

Great hotel value

This hotel is a great value. The location is beautiful and every room has an ocean/harbor view. You don’t need a car because the hotel has a complimentary shuttle that takes you to 3 different places in Waikiki every 30 mins. from morning til around 9:30pm. The service was great, we got to check in at 1pm which was nice instead of waiting until 3 like other hotels. The only grip I have is there was no beach close by but if you have friends staying at the Hilton Hawaiian village then you can just walk over their beach/swimming area like we did, it’s only a block down.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Don’t get a rental car or taxi around town, just use their shuttle service.

Treated like a King & Queen

Beautiful hotel, quiet and peaceful. Rooms overlook yacht harbor giving you a front row seat to a romantic sunset every night. Good location, walking distance to Waikiki Beach and shopping; Ala Moana Center, Ward Center. Staff very polite and attentive to all of our needs. Shuttle service to major attractions, car rental help on premises. Public transportation outside back of hotel. Relaxing pool area and good restuarants.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Parking is expensive in Waikiki, that beind said we did not rent a car until we arrived at the hotel; we found a good deal at the Expedia desk in the hotel. Overnight 10 hour parking located at the side of the hotel for only $5.00. Bus stop right across street will take you anywhere on the Island, good way to travel and not have to worry about parking or traffic.

Would stay here again

Accurately rated 3.5 stars. Lobby area gorgeous. Bellman operning doors for guests nice touch. View from room stunning. The room was clean but nothing stand out special. Service good. Location was perfect for me as I did not want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Walking distance to AlaMoana shopping center and the many buses to take you everywhere.

Amazing view

My room was located on the 32 floor and the view of the ocean was amazing. As far as the service, room, and staff... I have no complaints. The room was extremely clean and large. The staff were helpful and friendly when asked anything. They did not have a lot of food on their room service menu... but what i did order was good and it came rather quickly. The location of the hotel was also perfect. It is almost right across the street from the mall. Because the hotel is not located in the middle of Waikiki, the beaches close by were very relaxing and were not overcrowded at all.

Can’t wait to go back

The hotel was nice. No beach, but it is a short two blocks away - a nice walk around the marina. Bed was OK, bathroom was nice - shower and a tub. The buffet on the third floor was incredible!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Rent a car only for the days you want to travel around the island.

Great View of the Ocean, The staff was very nice and respectful

The down side is that if you rent a car plan on spending $25 for valet parking and $20 a day to park it your self. Although the hotel does offer a bus shuttle to downtown, if you don’t wish to walk. The walk is not that far from downtown or the beach.

Definitely worth the extra bucks! Great ocean, harbor & Magic Island views!

Great marble and travertine tile in luxurious bathrooms, spacious bedroom with comfortable and plush bedding, friendly and helpful staff, easy check-in, AWESOME VIEWS of the Pacific Ocean and harbor & walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center and Ala Moana Beach Park! Free shuttle to all the Waikiki attractions, great service! Can’t wait to stay again! 5-stars all the way!! :)

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to check out the North Shore and Polynesian Cultural Center when you come to Oahu! And definitely island hop to Big Island, Maui, and Kauai if you have the time and this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip! You will get the most out of your stay that way! Book / plan in advance, great package deals are available! Aloha! :)

Nice Hotel, but not quite 4 stars

Overall, my stay at this hotel was okay. The hotel room was clean and the lobby was nice. Most of the staff was friendly and attentive, except for a couple of busboys who were trying to ignore me when I kept trying to call them over to ask a question. Parking costs an extra $20 a day if you park your own car and $30 a day if you use their valet service. This fee is added on at check out. The pool was small, but clean. Somehow this hotel is rated a 4-star, but every other 4-star hotel I’ve ever stayed at seemed nicer to me. This is more like a 3.5-star.

Felt Very Welcomed

Generally, when I travel I stay with family and friends. Hotels are somewhat of a luxury for me and I don’t use them often, only when necessary. I had five days and four nights to spend in the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki and found all of it quite enjoyable. I thought the hotel itself was nicely appointed, inviting, and comfortable. The reception/reservation desk was very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The young lady who cleaned my room was also friendly, wore a bright smile, and made me feel welcome. I had her name, but lost it - it began with a ’Z’. Your gym facilities were better than I am used to at home and I took the opportunity to use them extensively. Finally, on the last day, I got to enjoy your bar, met with Larry, the bartender, and found him also to be quite gracious and friendly.
