Dumpster bed
I’ve stayed at the Bourbon Orleans many times over the years, as it has been one of my favorites. The last couple of times have been a disappointment. This time, the bed was HORRIBLE. It was so old and uncomfortable, it was as though they picked it up from the dump. My back was killing me the next day. To top it off, there was a protruding piece of metal from the bed frame that took a chunk out of my ankle. Excellent location, but no longer a top notch hotel in my opinion. $32 a night parking didn’t help my lack of value views. Will stay elsewhere next visit.

Exactly what we were looking for!
We got a great deal on this hotel, and it was exactly what we were looking for - right in the center of the French Quarter but not too noisy or crazy, lovely pool, perfectly comfortable rooms, and a charming more local feel to the hotel. The carpets were a little worn looking, and the comforters were a little old; that was really unimportant to us and we really enjoyed our stay, but if you care a lot about things like that you may be disappointed.
