O.K. Place to Stay
When we arrived to the hotel our room was not ready for 2 hours. While we waited we had no special service. Once our room was ready the fridge was not stocked and the remote to the TV did not work. It was very frustrating. In addition all weekend the toilets clogged. We constantly had to call for maintenance. The beach is beautiful there, but there is very little room to walk or sit. It has a small beach, but large pool. One positive is that the food there is great. We enjoyed most meals. We thought the drinks were watered down and the service not so good. Overall, we would not go back.

Loved Cancun
One day before our arrival we were told that we were moved to the grand oasis cancun. I was a little anxious at first but everything turned out great. We stayed at the pyramid, we had an ocean view, and great service. No problems with room, a/c etc. Room was cleaned everyday. The food was good. And everyone was nice. The only thing was that the waves at the beach were strong for the kids. But we still enjoyed the beach at the hotel. And of course they have the big pool, in case you want to skip the beach. Overall we were really happy with stay and vacation.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen & Tulum are nice. Xel-ha we didn’t like that much, should’ve gone to X-caret instead.

Hotel Changed
We booked this hotel because it was adult only no one under 23 years of age, after arriving in Cancun we were told this hotel was closed and were placed in the Grand Oasis Carribean, north shore no waves, screaming kids, slow service and no air in restaurants. Rooms were also very warm. I would not stay at the Carribean again. Can’t advise on this particular one.

Guests staying at Grand Oasis Playa, Grand Oasis Cancun, or Grand Oasis Riviera Maya, can enjoy facilities at the other six Oasis resorts in the area for the day, including access to all food and beverage outlets, and beaches and pools, at no additional cost.
All guests must inform the Guest Services Desk (Oasis Plus Desk) at their hotel of the date and time they plan to visit a partner hotel. Transporation not included.
Honeymoon Program
All Honeymooners staying at Grand Oasis Cancun, Grand Oasis Playa, and Grand Oasis Riviera Maya, will receive a complimentary upgrade to suite accommodations (where available) or best possible accommodation (based on advance request and subject to availability); a bottle of champagne in their room; and one complimentary night on their first anniversary’s return trip (minimum five-night stay) to the same hotel. Anniversary trip includes room category upgrade and bottle of champagne.
At time of booking, when indicating traveler and room preferences, guests must enter "Honeymooners" in the Special Requests box to receive this promotion.
Reservations for the anniversary trip must be made via the same tour operator and for the original plan purchased. Anniversary trip requires minimum five-night stay.
