Lovely time
We had a wonderful time. Perfect location for the Galveston Bike Rally. We were right in the middle of the action, and our hotel room was an oasis from the action. After a shower, change of clothes, and relaxing on the comfortable sofa, we were ready for more fun. Restaurants were excellent. We will definately stay at the Harbor House again.

Excellent hotel - recommended
Very large, well maintained room with all the amenities. Highly recommended.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
One block from the main historic downtown shopping area. Next door to three-masted sailing ship, two excellent but pricey seafood restaurants, near museums, fishing boats, excursions. Galveston turned out to be a great place to visit for an off-peak, mid-week trip. The whole town may be too "touristy" during the summer when lots of folks with kids, and lots of college youngsters hit the beaches.

Very nice, large room.
Very comfortable room. Walking distance to many restaurants. Great recovery from Ike, except for a mold smell in the lobby.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Right on the Strand, many local shops and restaurants.
