A Great Hotel Off The Beaten Path
We found the Harbor House to be a very nice, small hotel extremely well located for those on a cruise vacation. From the hotel one can walk to several quality restaurants within just a few blocks of the property. The hotel boasts a view of the harbor as well as the old downtown area from its pier location. Cruise parking is available at a bargain price as well. The cruise terminal is about two or three blocks from the property and its possible to carry or roll your luggage (unless you over pack). Only complaint is the complimentary breakfast, which is quite Spartan. We would gladly have paid an extra $5 for the room to have had a better selection. Regardless, we will definitely stay at the Harbor House in the future.

New Years on the Strand
We traditionally go to Galveston for New Years Eve. I choose the Harbour House because we have stayed at several locations on the beach and after partying on the Strand didn’t want to drive, so the Harbor House is in walking distance to our favorite seafood resturant and the pub we were going to spend the evening at. The Harbor House is an old warehouse converted into a hotel. It has a fitting nautical theme and a feel of a early 1900 structure. The room was clean and comfortable but best of all is the view of Galveston harbor. We were there for two nights and our stay was great. The Harbor House would be a great place to stay for Mardi Gras.

Excellent location
The Harbor House was a wonderful find, right on the water, adjacent to some great hotels and a block from the Strand and cruise ship port. Will definitely return to the Harbor House on my trips to Galveston.
