Fabulous experience

Our first trip to Maui and our first stay with a Ritz Carlton hotel and we were not disappointed in the least. We were greeted by name upon arrival (how did they know?) and this continued throughout our stay by the conceierge, front desk, housekeeping, etc. Our room was upgraded at check in without even asking and we were given an Anniversary card (the reason for our trip) with a coupon for complimentary appetizers in their main restaurant "The Terrace" - a very nice personalized touch. The hotel is somewhat isolated, but has all that you need should you not want to leave the property, which is stunning. The food we indulged in at the pool, lobby bar and Kai, the sushi restaurant, were delicious - a bit pricey, but isn’t everything in Maui? Try the Honula Store for inexpensive breakfasts/lunches. It is a stone’s throw from the hotel. The only small complaints were 1) Maintanence being preformed on the patio next to ours at 8 AM our first monring there. A call to the front desk promply stopped it and 2) regular sized coffe makers would be preferable to the one-cup machines in the rooms. November was a great time to go - no crowds at all and lovely weather. We will definitely go back.

Can’t wait to go back !!!

It was our first stay in Maui and probably not the last ! We only stayed there 6 days but it was really 6 days in paradise ! Everything was perfect, the room - which in fact was a suite, the staff, the food, everything ! For our next stay in Maui, we will without any doubt stay again at The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua !

We’ve been there end of Oktober - beginning of November. It was a good time as it wasn’t crowed at all.

Amazing Vacation!

My husband and I selected the Ritz for our 10 year anniversary trip. We were happy to find a place in Kapalua - the never ending line of hotels in other areas of Maui were not remotely appealing. In general the Ritz was everything we could have wanted - the pool was superb, beach was private, grounds were immaculate, view was amazing, room was more than comfortable, and we never heard noises from the other rooms or corridors. There were only a couple of disappointments. Our room smelled of old musty socks which was eventually resolved by housekeeping. The food at the hotel was mediocre for the price. At check in we were not given a run down on the hotel - no one showed us to the gym, etc. which is a bit odd for that nice of a hotel. We LOVED the Honolulu Store for breakfast and lunches. We also loved the Pineapple Grill which is quite close to the hotel, but not on the Ritz property. I read on other people’s posts that they were bothered by the wind. The pool area is windy, but it didn’t bother us. The pool staff let you know the less windy places to sit and if anything the wind cools you down while you’re baking away. Lastly, the Ritz was very accommodating about our late check out. We had a red eye flight so they allowed us to stay in our room late. They then told us to use the shower/locker facilities to store our change of clothes for the plane and we were able to laze by the pool all day enjoying every last moment of our trip.
