I liked that the hotel was historic in nature, the staff were GREAT! The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever been on. For the price, was unhappy. Location was good, very centrally located to what my needs were. Would recommend and go back if the bed situation were corrected. I am planning to be back in Cardiff in Dec. and looking at other hotels rather than the Angel.

This hotel is very centrally located to Cardiff University, food, pubs, shopping, located across the street from Cardiff Castle. Could not ask for better location for business, holiday/vacation, family friendly

As described ... a good value
Rooms are large, especially by European standards. The bathroom was remodelled and very clean. It won’t win any design awards, but it is very comfortable. The location is fabulous, it is right in the center of town.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Skip the breakfast inthe hotel - too expensive. There are plenty of coffee shops and cafes.

A fine hotel
The room was large and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was large, varied, and tasty. Bar service is a little slow, but the beer is good. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.
