loved every minute of my stay!!
I stayed at this resort for the first time 2 weeks ago and really loved it! I called w/questions and they were answered and I had a request for extra items (shampoo and blankets) and they were delivered within 20 minutes.

Great Value - especially for young families
Recently stayed at the Point in January. (wow, why dont I live in southern CA???) 70-75 degrees every day when we were there, amazing. This was actually a hotel that was featured on the show "Jon and Kate Plus 8", when it was still the aforementioned name. We have a 2 yr-old and wanted a place to come back to after the parks that allowed us to walk around and make noise without waking the neighbors. This was it! The hotel is kinda on an island to itself and only one bridge from the interstate and SeaWorld. Paid a very reasonable price (similar to the normal 2 and 3 star chains). We stayed in a regular garden view double and the room was comfortable 16X20 with a separate bath. I dont know why you would need anything bigger than this if youre here for a vacation. We stayed for 7 nights so we got well acquainted with the grounds and restaurants. The prices for activities and restaurants are not cheap, but the food is worth the money because it is really nice to be able to walk back to your room after stuffing yourself at mealtime. The birds that like to eat your food were only noticeable at breakfast. We were very happy we picked this place, instead of others downtown, because we had all kinds of room to roam, which is unique at a hotel.

A slice of paradise in San Diego
It was a great stay. Initially I had a room with no phone and problems with the heater/air conditioning unit but maintenance was quick to respond and took care of the problem.
