Waiting for trip #6!!!
This was our 5th trip to Grand Cayman. We have always expected the 20% discount on U.S. funds, but this trip it seemed prices, especially on food, had doubled from our trip two years ago! Taxis used to be $10 and they are now $20 and seems to vary with every taxi. Seven Mile beach is a great place to walk, swim and relax. We chose to just relax on this trip and only did a catamaran trip to Rum Point for our anniversary. Great trip!!!!

Mediocre
Pros: The room was big, had a kitchenette, continental breakfast, central located and within walking distance between bars (nightlife), no watersports, was located next to the Marriot where you can sign up for all excersions. Cons: The room had ants, the bathroom door didn’t lock, you couldn’t sign up for any excersions, not enough lounge chairs on the beach, coral in the ocean in front of the hotel had to walk down the beach a little

Good value
This is a nice economic find on the 7 Mile Beach. While the hotel is not on the beach, it’s a short walk past another condo building. The beach in this spot was a lot less crowded than the marriott next door. The only difference I could see was that you needed to walk back to the hotel bar to fetch your drink, while at the Marriott’s youcould just wave a waiter. The pool area is very nice The hotel decor is a bit worn out (new carpets in elevators would be nice), it’s kept meticulously clean. Same goes for funiture - a bit dated, but perfectly functional. Reception desk staff was polite, but not very helpful when I needed help or local info. Breakfast was a little disapointing but on par with the US Comfort Suites standards. Restaurant/bar on the premises is quite good and reasonable. There are many eating establishments in the walking distance.
