Good do-it-yourself hotel
On the up side: Practically on the beach, friendly atmosphere and complete breakfast included. On the down side: No one to help you with bags and the reat breakfasst served on plastic plates and with plastic cutlery, cups and glasses.

Not Impressed
The hotel has a musty smell and needs to be aired out. I was on floor three and as soon as you left the elevator to enter the floor you had a high smell that was there throughout the stay. I left one day early. Otherwise the service and staff were pretty good.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Stingray City and Rum Point are worth a visit. Places like Hell and the Cave in east end are a waste of money. The beaches are decent but I have seen much nicer beaches on some of the other Caribbean Islands

Great value for the price
Definitely recommend this hotel. Very clean, nice pool. Restaurant/Bar in back of hotel at poolside was very good and convenient. Also dive shop on premises is a plus. While it is not beachfront, you can be at the beach in about 30 seconds.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
While the bus transportation on Grand Cayman is excellent, they only run during the day, and sometimes it is a long walk to get where you need to go with limited cross walk access. If you can manage it, absolutely rent a car to get the most of the island, (especially the food - the best Ive eaten on any Caribbean island) just be prepared to drive on the opposite side of the road!
