Great family get-away
We have four children, 9, 7, 4, and 1, and we were looking for someplace to go for a long weekend. The Claroin resort and Waperpark fit the bill perfectly. The double queen suite we stayed in was big and comfortable. The kitchenette had a full size fridge and sink, with some counter space so we ate breakfast and lunch in our room, which was so much easier than having to get cleaned up and go out to eat. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. I think when the kids are older the park might not be big enough for them, but for now it was perfect. We went off season, in October, and it was still plenty warm. We got an amazing deal on our room, but most of the "on" season children’s events weren’t going on which I would have loved to take advantage of. We visited Downtown Disney and it was a short 15-20 min drive. We are already thinking of staying again during our next Orlando visit.

Great for the Area
All things considered, the hotel was good. When compared against others in the area, I think this one ranks highest -- based upon MY research. The room was clean, save a permanent stain on the desk chair (this is tolerable). The room was clean and the AC worked great. Two down sides I noticed: Ice machines were broken on 1st and 2nd leve near my room, so had to go the 3rd floor (this is an inconvenience). And, the maid service forgot to leave toiletries in the room (e.g., shampoo, soap). The pool area was nice, but didn’t use it. Last inconvenience: Breakfast doesn’t start unitl 7 AM. I had a test the next day starting at 7:00+. For others this may not be a problem.
This hotel is RIGHT off the Ronald Reagan Parkway/expressway. Nice is convenience is important to you.
