The rooms were not in the best shape (wallpaper peeling and some lights did not work) but the staff was very helpful and we spent most of our time out of the room so it was good enough for our stay.

Ok Stay
Took family and rented 2 rooms with the view of the harbor along with the breakfest. I paid for 5 but was only allowed to have 2 per room for the breakfast. I found the gate access to allow the car to get through a real pain. Its not close enough to reach easily from the window. I thought it a rip off to charge 16 dollars a nite to park inside the complex in front of your room. The cable for the TV was very low quality. You could only get a hand full of stations and none were really clear. The in house movie rentals did not work. The rooms were clean and the people were curtious. I picked the rooms because of its 3 rateing and its location. I feel the room was closer to a 2

Breuch family from Wisconsin
The hotel was wonderful! We stayed in the "new" section. The room was very large. Bathroom very nice. Had a small porch overlooking the bay. Had a small problem with the fan in the bathroom that they fixed right away. The pool overlooked the Marinea. Right above the pool area was a nice with lots of tables to sit and relax. Also had "tropical" music playing. The only thing I was not aware of was the parking fee we had to pay at the end and the fee for the suttle to take us to the airport. We thought those 2 things were complimentary...especially the parking. I would have to say this was probably the nicest hotel in San Diego that we saw around and would recommned to anyone and would definetely stay there again. It really was close to everything.
If you are going on a family vacation with children I definelty would recommend going in the "non" peak season and not say Spring Break or the Summer. Seaworld and the Zoo was perfect for this time of year as far as the number of people there. The kids could get up close to everything and we did not have to wait in line to see any of the shows. We were told during the busy time there can be as many as 30,000 people at Sea World!
