Good Budget Option
Not the Ritz, but clean, safe, and in a great location. Would definitely recommend Americana if youre on a budget and dont plan on staying in your room all day (which you shouldnt do anyway in NY!)

Would stay again
10 minute walk from all the action of times square! not the most glamorous place but for the price and location i would definitely stay here again. we were barely at the place anyways, too busy running around and doing stuff. we were in and out to either drop stuff off, change, or sleep. the rest of the time we were out and about so this place really worked for us. any more than three nights though, and I would say go for something nicer. if you will be spending much time in your room, these are a bit cramped and the bathrooms are shared, so something to think about.
From the airport, take the bus or train into manhattan (or where ever youre staying). the taxi from either airport to manhattan is like $50 where as the train or bus (though a little longer and less convenient) is like $2.25 (i think a little more if you have to transfer)

Great Stay
Had a really good time in NYC and the hotel location was a big factor in that. Rooms and service were above satisfactory. The only downside was the lack of your own bathroom, although there was a bathroom for every 3 rooms I think and we never had any issues with waiting for the one closest to our room. The trade off for price and location more than made up for the lack of bathrooms.
