I wish I could quit my job and live there
The room itself was somewhat unimpressive, but do you really want to spend all your time in the room anyway??? The staff was extremely friendly and talkative, and the food was delicious. We ate like pigs for the entire week! And with the classes you can take, youll never be bored. Even more, it has its own roped off section of beach, which prevents some of the many beach vendors from harassing you every two seconds (they still try to get your attention, but at least if youre in the roped off area they cant get that close). Id love to go back to Acapulco and the Ritz!

Ritz Poor Management Service
The hotel staff was extremely rude to friends when they came to visit for a few minutes. Would not allow guests past the lobby.

2 star hotel in a 1 star city
The hotel is okay considering its age, but like Acapulco city, its in desperate need of modernisation. I went to Acapulco based on the fact it was the only Mecican city I had heard of on the Pacific coast and the famous Elvis film!! Hotel Review: One of the better hotels in the dirty city. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean. Rates are expensive considering Acapulco is a dump. Beach location is nice but you might catch a nasty disease in the dirty sea-water! Hotel is all-inclusive. There is 1 main restaurant (buffet) where you can eat almost all day. There is 1 Italian restaurant that you have to pre-book and can only use once per week. Food in main restaurant serves a mixture of Mexican recipes and changes every night. The hotel has a small private beach but this does not stop people trying to sell you stuff all day long! Cabaret entertainment is okay. Tequila is wonderful.
Traveler's tip
Only visit Acapulco for a weekend - no more! Take a city tour and go visit the famous rock divers. Acapulco is not pretty! There are lots of other resorts on the pacific coast which Im told are cleaner with good hotels. Acapulco stinks a bit and is expensive. Go to Walmart for water etc.. Take a ride to Walmart on a colourful, noisy, cheap bus if you are feeling adventurous!
