for a couples trip
The description of the Mission suite should include that the tub and shower area are all open - designed for a couple to share. I was traveling with my brother and there was privacy or door to shut to the bathroom. Also the pull out couch was very uncomnfortable and just a few feet from the bed not at all as pictured on the website. Also the dining room was being renovated which we were not made aware of until we arrived.

Quiet Luxurious Retreat in the heart of California Wine Country
Lovely place to rejuvenate in the spa between sojourns to shopping and wineries in Healdsburg, Calistoga, Sonoma and Napa Valley. Didn’t hurt to have a Michelin One Star Restaurant in house. There were also many other fabulous restaurants located within minutes drive of the hotel.

Great hotel, but not as great as other Fairmonts
This is a nice hotel with typically great Fairmont service. However, the hotel doesn’t compare to other Fairmonts where we’ve stayed - the rooms are a bit dingy, the bathrooms are below average, and the overall hotel just didn’t feel like a Fairmont. We stayed in an upgraded room with a fireplace, and it was nice, just not as nice as what we’ve seen in other Fairmonts.
