It was ok...
The hotel wasn’t bad, was in a decent location and close enough to walk to the train station, but the restaurant makes the entire hotel smell funny... but you kind of get used to it.

Great loaction and nice hotel
The hotel was very nice, very clean. The location was good - off the main path just enough for quiet sleep. The only issue was with the smell of cheese from the resturant, but this was only in the lobby and hallways - it did not go into the room. The room itself had a little too much furniture making the room feel cramped a bit - they could take one side chair out to help this. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, although it looked like a fun time. The staff was very helpful with sightseeing and spoke english very well. The boat tour on the lake was very relaxing.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
We took a day trip to Mont Blanc - this was a very pleasant trip and worth seeing a glacier and the French Alps. We wanted to tour the Swiss Alps, but that tour was only Sunday and Thursday, which they say is better. But the tour we took was very nice.

Swiss Charm
Hotel Edelweiss was very quaint and charming. Abundant wood throughout the hotel simply adds to the Swiss chalet atmosphere. The room was comfortable with a decent bed. The bathroom was large and clean with complementary toiletries, although this room only had a small shower. Wireless access from the room was an added convenience. One downside was the pungent smell of cheese from the restaurant when you enter the lobby, but it isn’t noticeable from the room. Based on my stay in Switzerland, I’d say this hotel is on par with 3 star hotels in Geneva.

This hotel is in the heart of Geneva’s accommodations and is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Geneva’s Old Town where there’s an abundance of shopping, dining, sightseeing, and nightlife.
