Great place to stay in D.C.

We wanted a real hotel experience and in downtown D.C. close to everything and that is what we got. The lobby is beautiful -like a scene from a movie, and everyone was so nice from the time we pulled up at the curb until we pulled away. We came to town to attend our daughters graduation from Georgetown’s nursing school. We wanted to be convenient to Georgetown U., but also wanted to see D.C. Arrived Dec. 18th just before the big snow storm. It began to snow Fri. night and snowed all day Sat. and our daughters graduation was cancelled due to the snow. However, we had such a wonderful time. On Sat. afternoon, we dressed warmly and went out to walk around and found ourselves at the white house in the snow. Beautiful. There was a metro stop on the corner and a CVS. Lots of interesting places to sightsee and also stores to shop in for Christmas. Our room was a warm and cozy retreat, from the cold outside. Just a lovely place to be and the snow was a bonus for us.

Nice, pretty hotel

This hotel is quaint and very nice; the room I stayed in was very small but I did get upgraded to a suite after I complained about something (which I think was not the hotel’s fault afterall) and the suite was huge!!. Customer service and concierge was friendly and helpful. Decor pretty; went in November - there was a lot of traffic through the hotel (business meetings; holiday parties). Food was good; nice breakfast buffet in a pretty dining room.

Worth Your Money. Great Location

If you like the classy, more of the elegant ambiance, then this is your place. The concierge are friendly. The front desk guys are nice and helpful. The location is great as you are downtown and close to the historical attractions as the white house, the mall, the monuments and museums as well Armand circle and all shopping stores. Great restaurants are close. Burberry is right next door, as well as Filene’s for discount hunters. No pool but you have a pass to the next door gym (that one I do NOT recommend). The sightseeing trolley will pick you right in front the hotel. I will definitely go back.
