Excellent Hotel, two drawbacks. Grade: A-
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Great location - walking distance to Seaport Village, the Midway Museum, the Maritime Museum, and Cruise ship terminals. Excellent cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, a complimentary USA Today newspaper, and free drinks at happy hour each night. Overall, an excellent value. The two drawbacks: 1) the $29/day mandatory valet parking fee (not a problem, but they should tell you first, and by the way, you cannot access your own car while its valet parked), and 2) the $12/day internet connection fee. Still, probably the best hotel I have stayed at in years!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to check out Seaport Village, just a 5 minute walk south of the hotel. Great shops and terrific restaurants (steer clear of Harbor House restaurant though).
