Check-in was okay. the guy at the front desk put me in a room near elevator but i requested through Expedia that i need a room far away from elevator, anyways, he moved me to a better room and a better view. i was happy with the room BUT it smell so bad, i don’t know what kind of chemical they use to clean the carpet but it smell awful. Me and my bf ended up had to buy a carpet cleaner (the powder one) to put on the carpet. It helps so much. But the rest of the hotel is fine, very cozy lobby and situated in a nice area, close to China town gate only 2 blocks a way and 2 block to Union square and 1 block a way from the famous cable car. Location was very convenient for us to roam around. The staff was extreamly helpful and he also help me with all direction because it was my first time in SF.

Good for what I needed
The hotel was in a great location, easily accessible by walking, BART, the bus AND the cable cars. We didn’t spend much time there as we wanted to see as much of SF as we could. That being said, the room, along with everything in it, felt a bit small. For the price and the location I would stay there again

Middle of San Fran.
Comfortable bed,wine in the early evening helped to meet other guests.Not much for frills, but we did not spend alot of time at the hotel.
