room too hot
Desk personal were too busy doing nothing to answer a question, and when they did they gave you the wrong answer. The hotel parking lot was secure, but you had to pick up your car by 9am or pay for a second day. This fact was never put in there brochure or there ad. The room was too hot and the thermostat did not work, also the windows did not open.

Probably great 20 years ago
We were completely unimpressed. Also, beware of the M floor - the only way to get to it is to go up the elevator, walk a mile, then go back down a flight of steps. VERY inconvenient!

Liverpool’s Grand Old Hotel
This was my second time to stay at the Adelphi. After a recent remodel for the 08 Capital of Culture the hotel is a rather nice place. Very convenient location and very historic. The staff was very polite and helpful. Be aware that this is a European hotel, so don’t be surprised by the lack of A/C but the windows do provide a nice comfortable breeze.
