Always a Gem
We travel extensively and have found the Penninsula in Chicago to be one of the best hotels in the world. There isn’t a detail or amenity overlooked. Rooms are spacious, incredibly comfortable, quiet and an oasis in the middle of a busy city. Staff is very friendly, the concierge incredibly helpful, the valet crew scrambled so there was no wait time. The 60-foot tall Christmas tree in the restaurant area rivaled the old Marshall Field’s Walnut Room tree, and was a nice holiday treat. Fitness center equipment is state of the art. The hotel is in a wonderful location, steps away from Michigan Ave. I can’tt say a negative thing about our experience. When we find the room rate at a "bargain" (relatively speaking), it makes the treat even sweeter...we will be back!
