Convenient location; not very peaceul
This hotel was one of the first large hotels in Portsmouth and it is showing its age. The walls seemed thin and there noise all around. People would shout down the hallways and hold loud conversations outside the room, often with an accompanying crying baby. You would do well to ask for a room at the top for more peace. The pool was very nice and the location and price level are very attractive positives, but there will soon be more competition in town, as other hotels are built and renovated in Portsmouth.

Not as Pet Friendly as they claim
I was very upset to find out that once we arrived with our dog, we were not allowed to leave her in the room unattended. Meaning, if you wanted to go anywhere as a family or group, your pet had to come with you. Made it difficult and should of been explained when booking. I cancelled my 2nd night and went to Homewood Suites...It was worth the 100.00 pet deposit (nonrefundable) to be able to leave her there if we needed to.

Noisy room
Combination of thin walls; cheap,thin, totally inadequate door connecting with adjoining room and noisy wedding guests resulted in 2 nearly sleepless nights
