Nice stay
I enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Southampton. It was the bright spot in my otherwise bleak trip where everything that could go wrong went wrong. The staff there was very nice and helpful with giving us information on places to visit and do some shopping (our luggage was lost). They also provided us with a care package with items like a comb, deodorant, and a toothbrush so that we didnt feel completely desolate due to not having any luggage. We were also upgraded to a Gold room on the 6th floor. My only complaint was that the people in the hot tub were so loud that I found it difficult to sleep on our last night, but other than that, I enjoyed staying at this hotel.
One thing that I did not know is that the climate in late October was a bit on the chilly side. Not cold, just not hot and humid like expected it would be.

Spectacular Hotel
The view across to Hamilton from our fifth floor room was unbelievable. The shuttle service to the beach, the ferry and two restaurants made getting around this hotel on a huge hill a pleasant experience as well. Leaving the hotel required a cab; not much you could walk to. The deluxe room we got was a very nice size with a large baclony to sit and have free our in-room coffee every morning. The many choices of on premises restaurants were all pricey (as all Bermuda restaurants are) but the service was very good. The food was good but weve had better in restaurants at home. The Wine Cellar night club was fun. It was situated outside the hotel in a huge cave. All things considered we cant wait for our next stay at this gorgeous hotel.

A great experience
The accommodations were great, staff treated us well and the room itself was very comfortable and pleasing to the eye. The view was good not great. We had to ask for room on a higher floor to avoid having the roof in our primary field of view. The view we had was described as a "partial view". It was on the golf course/ocean side. If you are below the 5th floor its more like roof/golf course/oecean. We were out of the room most of the time anyway. It does make it nicdewhen dining on the balcony to have a nice view. Overall it was a great stay.
