We would go back
We would go back to the Edison because of its convenience to Broadway , subway and Central Park . the room was clean and the furnishing were dated but the hotel is advertised as being "Retro 30s." It was what we expected.

Roomy, Tidy, and Close to Times Square
I have stayed in many hotels, more expensive and less expensive, in the theater district, but this is my favorite hotel. Its half a block from Times Square and is comparatively affordable. The people at the desk are very helpful in every way. The lobby is beautiful and large. The rooms are nice and clean and pretty roomy compared to many other older hotels. We had the two room suite with a queen in one room and two twin beds in the other. There was only one bathroom which was small, but it had plenty of hot water and we didnt live in there. Its close to the theaters, subway, and restaraunts and within walking distance of many attractions in New York City. The staff was friendly and professional, fulfilling our every request and answering our questions quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and anyone looking for a nice experience in New York.

Not impressed
Quite honestly the hotel was extremely warm. You could not adjust the heat at all and it was an unusally warm day so the heat was way too high. The restaurant attached was good but when I tried to simply get a small cup of ice (I had purchased several coffees to go), they told me I had to go into the hotel and ask there. Yet there was no easy place to get ice. Also, the staff was not what I would call friendly. Professional yes. Inviting - no. I dont think I would stay there again and I wouldnt really recommend it either.
