Unexpected pleasant surprise.
Closer than we thought to Union Sq. just doors away. Decorated nicely for the holidays, friendly staff. a bit of a walk to the new section and stairs, but freight elevator was ok, for handicapp. just 1 floor. sheltered from the street noise which is great, but if you want quiet, don’t go into the new tower too high, stay on north side of pool away from Restaurant fans if you want to open your windows. rooms have a balcony in new section, so you can sit outside and breath. private. huge room, lots of pillows. we didn’t need our down pillows. restaurant was a bit hi for breakfast, but good, and convenient. Garage is handy, beneath the backside and elevator direct, rather than a walk for other hotels. we’ll go again, and room rates were much better than others, being on sale in December.

"Wonderful San Francisco Location"
This was our first trip to SF. Handerly is conveniently located right at Union Square. Very close to shopping, food, trolley’s. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Location, Location, Location. Staff was always very helpful in booking tours for us. Can’t say enough about our experience.
