New Year’s 2010 at Hotel Mayfair ...
This Hotel was more than was expected. My daughter and I stayed from 12/31/09 to 1/5/10 and enjoyed every moment! The best thing about this hotel is the location - it is close to the Central Station (which will get you anywhere you want to go), shopping areas (Stroget), Tivoli, etc. Our stay included the free breakfast and ’light evening meal’ (if you are a budget traveller, this is the only way to go!). Our room (on 3rd floor) was not the biggest (but we spent most of our time in the city anyway) and very clean. The only complaint (if you really want to call it that) is that there were just a few channels on TV that were in English (unless you wanted to pay for a movie). The Hotel Staff was very friendly and so helpful (they got us a taxi at 3am). Coffee, tea, and fruit were available all the time. There are 2 computers to use anytime and free WiFi as well. Overall, this is a charming Hotel in a great location. I would definately stay there again !

Great deal in Copenhagen
The Mayfair has a great location, just a few short blocks from Central Station and easy to get to from the airport. If you are using the CPH card to get around, there’s a bus stop right on the corner. You are a 5 minute walk from Tivoli Gardens. The room is nice, ours was on the interior courtyard and very quiet. The bathroom is tiny with absolutely no shelf space. But it is very modern and clean. Having the breakfast and dinner included can be a real plus. You should know that any drinks at dinner (even water) will be added to your final bill. I was leary of having the "gentlemen’s club" across the street, but I never saw any questionable characters hanging out or anyone who made me feel uncomfortable. There is a large sign so if you have young kids it could raise questions. All in all I would stay there again and recommend it. Staff was super helpful!!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Food can be really expensive here and sometimes not much for your money so the dinner buffet can really be a great help to your budget.

Very nice, good location
Nice hotel in excellent location to major attractions and train station. Also very nice breakfast and dinner buffets. The hotel has some wonderful art and the rooms are comfortable and not too small. Only drawback is the strip club across the street and some drug users and hookers handing out nearby.
