Total Rip Off. Dont Go Here!
From the time we arrived we were disappointed. I took my girlfriend here for the night because I have been working a lot, I wanted to show her a nice time and it was an easy drive from LA. The Front Desk Manager, was pretty rude. He would not honor any of the benefits that we were entitled to either from AMEX or SPG, and then he put us in a room facing a dirt lot behind the hotel. In addition, they tagged us with an extra "resort fee" beyond the amount I had agreed to on expedia as a total rate. The facility is nice. We stayed inside for dinner and the people in both the spa and the restaurant were very nice. However, I would definitely not stay here again. There are much better places for the same or less in the area that dont try to rip you off. This place is definitely 3 stars or below.

Great hotel with good service
We arrived at the hotel at 1pm on a Saturday and our room was ready as soon as we checked in. The bell boy that helped us with our bags promised to send us up some champagne to celebrate our anniversary but it never showed up, a bit of a bummer. We had drinks and lunch poolside and we were very pleased. At 7pm we watched the release of the monarch butterfly while sipping on some complimentary champagne. We finished of the night at the hotels Stonehill Tavern, where we had a great dinner. All of the restaurant staff wished us a happy anniversary which was a great touch. We checked out the next day and the process was very easy.
Traveler's tip on dining
Stonehill Tavern at the hotel provides a great dining experience. A bit pricey but if you fell like splurging I highly recommend it. Be sure to check out the Sunday brunch at nearby Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. The food is great, the price is reasonable, and the views are amazing.
