Oslo First Hotel Millenium
Prior very good reviews of this hotel must have given me unreasonably high expectations when i stayed here in July, 2009. The hotel is run-down, the room was very small and in poor condition although the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good. The dining room was always crowded and the staff overworked. I felt embarrassed with my traveling partner that I had selected this hotel. The hotel location is convenient.

Great location, price, and service
The First Hotel Millennium is centrally located to all bars, restaurants, and shops on Karl Johans Gate. Great service and the rooms are very clean. Very good Breakfast! I stayed in January and the room was warm and cozy. I would stay there again for my next trip to Oslo.

Warning: No air conditioning!
Now you might not think that not having AC would be a problem in Oslo, but it does occasionally get hot even in Oslo. We sweltered in our (otherwise very nice) hotel room.
